“What is the good life? Fancy cars? A leopard on a diamond leash? A secluded tropical island and a private jet to take you there?  A life that, for most of us, is beyond our wildest dreams — right?

Wrong.

The good life is simple. Beautiful art to please the eye and melt the heart. A kitchen full of tempting smells and sumptuous tidbits to eat. A rollicking time at the grill in the parking lot before the game. Watching Dook getting their sorry asses kicked to high heaven. And good friends, old and new, to share it all with — it doesn’t get better than that. Some folks look far and wide for ways to kill the blues when the answer might really be in their very own kitchen cabinet. Try a skillet next time. And if you find yourself at a loss as to what to do with that skillet, come here for some inspiration …

Folks, thanks to the genius of my sister Amy Evans, this blog exists! I hope it gives us all some entertainment and maybe even a little inspiration here and there.  As I figure out how to work a frickin’ blog, I’ll update things and maybe even add a page or two of pop culture-type stuff.  Since she’s a writer, it’d be crazy for me to edit her words so I’ll add my little bit here and there too.  Don’t hesitate to email me if you have questions or comments.  She’s right….it can be very easy for someone to have the “good life”!”
